This one tells me she's watched "Dora's Christmas Carol" a few too many times....
"Mom, did you know that I'm not on the naughty list?"
(me: Is that because you obey mommy and daddy?)
"No! It's because I don't swipe!"
(and she said this as if I was terribly misinformed)
Then, today she wrote a letter to one of her best friends from church who recently moved away. She told me exactly what she wanted me to write with no help from me. Here it is...Dear Ashley, You're still my best friend even when you're far away. I hope you come back someday so I can play with you. But, if you don't, I'll just play with Zaida. Love, Sidney
(I confess I may have omitted that last line from the original letter....)
Last but not least, my favorite one of the day....I was putting clean sheets on Caleb's bed this morning, when Sidney suddenly jumped out of his closet and yelled,"Happy Holidays Mommy and Beeeerrrrrryyyy Christmas!"
